Attention all current Gwynedd families, the financial aid application for the 2024-2025 academic year is now open. If you received financial for this current school year, you need to re-apply each school year.
Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School seeks to provide an affordable Catholic, private, college-preparatory education to all our families. We recognize that the primary responsibility for financing a student's education rests with the family. Because of this, Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School is privileged to offer need-based financial aid to qualifying families who could not otherwise afford to attend. We are pleased to offer FACTS Payment Plans and Grant & Aid Financial Needs Assessment on the same platform.

EUROPE TRIP 2024: MANDATORY MEETING FOR STUDENTS
|
On Monday, February 5 at WIN 2 in the Lecture Hall, there will be a mandatory meeting with Mrs. Carty and the chaperones for all (Jr. and Sr.) students going on the trip to Spain and Italy. At this meeting, the following will be discussed: - general trip details
- safety and security

student conduct expectations
Before the meeting, all students should read and be familiar with the Travel for Teens Code of Conduct found in the FAQ on the Travel for Teens portal. |
SOPHOMORES: OPTIONAL PSAT |
We will be offering an
OPTIONAL PSAT 10 on Friday, April 12th, 2024. There is no cost. Students will report to Gwynedd at 8am and testing will be complete by 11:30am. Students are responsible for their own ride to and from school. If your student wants to take this PRACTICE PSAT, please register using this link by February 9th. Please note that colleges will not see this score; it is strictly for test-taking practice.

Students will begin to receive their course selection sheets according to their grade level in the coming weeks (February 1/2 - Juniors; February 15/20 - Sophomores; March 13/14 - Freshmen). Please review the attached document in preparation for counselor meetings. |

Beginning January 22, Senior Katelyn McGuire will a be starting her LEAD4Change project, "The Communion Closet." She will be collecting gently used communion attire and accessories (boys and girls) that will be donated to Mercy Neighborhood Ministries. If you have items you'd like to donate, please bring them into school by March 29. |
| MERCY EFFECT NEEDS YOUR HELP |
We are still in need of supplies for our Annual Mercy Effect Character Breakfast raffle baskets! All proceeds go to Mercy Focus on Haiti and Mercy Neighborhood Ministries. Any donations of new toys, board games, colored pencils/pens/markers, coloring books, children's books, etc would be much appreciated. Please drop any donations off in room 21 before March 15th. L.E.A.D.'S FAT TUESDAY FUNDRAISER |
On Wednesday, February 13, Gwynedd’s L.E.A.D. Council will be hosting the annual Fat Tuesday Event. The Fat Tuesday Event is during community in the cafeteria and there will be waffles and ice cream with toppings. The entry fee will be five dollars, and all proceeds will go to Mercy Hospice. We hope to see you all there! |

SPRING SPORTS REGISTRATION & TEAM MEETINGS
|
Registration: All athletes wishing to participate in a spring sport MUST register on FamilyID. Instructions on how to register can be found under the Athletics section of the website. Athletes will not be allowed to participate unless registration is complete.
Registration does not carry over from previous seasons. - Flag Football: registration deadline is Sunday, February 11.
- Crew: Spring registration deadline was Friday, February, 2.
- Spring Crew practice begins on Monday, February 5.
- A Parent Info Session for Spring Crew will be held on February 6 at 5:30PM in the Cafeteria.
- Lacrosse / Softball / Track & Field: registration deadline is Friday, March 1.

Graduation and Prom Dress Drive March 12
Mothers’ Club and the Alumnae Association are sponsoring the annual Graduation and Prom Dress Drive. Please consider donating any gently used or new formal dresses, graduation and prom gowns. All donations can be dropped off at the school office. Juniors and Seniors will have the opportunity to shop for the dresses during their WIN/lunch periods on March 12. Mothers’ Club Fashion Show. It was a Winter Wonderland at Presidential Caterers in East Norriton last Sunday, with over 40 of our seniors modeling ski apparel from Buckman’s, gowns from David’s Bridal, and other fashions from Love Obsessed, Lunachick, and Free Shop. Over 350 moms, grandmoms, friends, and students enjoyed raffles, pop-up shops, and the runway show in a lovely, Apres Ski atmosphere. View event photos here!
